Sanctum — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Sanctum, a private subscription platform operated by The Void App Ltd ("Sanctum", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Overview

Sanctum is a membership platform where approved creators ("Creators") can share visual content, sound content, writings, classes, and live sessions with subscribing users ("Users").

Sanctum hosts content but does not own it. Access inside each Creator's Sanctum is private to subscribers only.

These Terms apply to all Users and Creators.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to join or use Sanctum in any capacity.

No minors.

If you create an account, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you are legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.

3. Account Types

3.1 Users

Users may subscribe to Creators and access private content.

Users must not share, screenshot, or redistribute content outside the platform.

3.2 Creators

Creator accounts require approval.

Creators are responsible for:

  • ensuring they have the rights to everything they upload
  • complying with these Terms and UK law
  • reporting income for tax purposes through their own HMRC or local authority obligations

We may approve, deny, or revoke Creator accounts at our discretion.

4. Payments & Fees

Payments are processed via Stripe or PayPal.

Sanctum charges a 15 percent platform fee on all subscription revenue.

Payment processors may charge additional transaction fees.

Payouts are handled by Stripe/PayPal based on their schedules and policies.

Creators are responsible for all taxes, VAT, or reporting obligations.

All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by law.

5. Content Ownership & Licensing

5.1 Ownership

Creators retain full ownership of all content they upload.

5.2 Licence Granted to Sanctum

By uploading content, you grant Sanctum a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to:

  • host
  • store
  • display
  • stream
  • and deliver the content to subscribers

This licence exists only for the purpose of operating the platform.

5.3 No Transfer of Rights

Sanctum does not claim copyright or commercial ownership of Creator content.

6. Prohibited Content

To maintain the platform's integrity, the following are not allowed:

  • Adult content, pornography, explicit nudity
  • Sexual material or sexual services
  • Hate or extremist content
  • Harassment, abuse, or threats
  • Graphic violence
  • Illegal activity
  • Copyrighted material you do not own
  • Attempts to sell or advertise regulated products (weapons, drugs, etc)

We may remove any content that violates these rules.

7. Use of Platform

You agree not to:

  • redistribute, download, record, or copy Creator content
  • use Sanctum for commercial activity outside subscriptions
  • misrepresent your identity
  • attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the platform
  • circumvent subscription paywalls

We reserve the right to enforce these rules, including content removal and account termination.

8. Subscriptions & Access

Content inside each Creator's Sanctum is private.

Access is limited to active subscribers.

If a subscription lapses, access is removed immediately.

Sanctum is not responsible for Creator inactivity or content volume.

Users may not request refunds for subscription periods already started.

9. Creator Responsibilities

Creators must:

  • own or have rights to all uploaded content
  • ensure content does not infringe third-party rights
  • follow local tax rules
  • honour ongoing access for active subscribers

Creators are independent and not employees of Sanctum.

10. Termination

Sanctum may suspend or terminate any account that:

  • violates these Terms
  • abuses the platform
  • engages in fraudulent activity
  • poses legal or safety risk

Users and Creators can close accounts at any time.

Outstanding fees or subscriptions will not be refunded.

11. Disclaimers

Sanctum is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties.

We do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted service
  • Creator availability
  • earnings or outcomes for Creators
  • accuracy of content posted

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Sanctum is not liable for:

  • loss of revenue
  • loss of data
  • business interruption
  • damages resulting from use or inability to use the platform

Your maximum remedy is to discontinue using Sanctum.

13. Privacy & Cookies

Sanctum processes personal data according to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, which form part of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated version.
